Take Blue Violets, dig them up top and root, wash clean, dry them, and make a tea.
Drink several times a day, wetting the eyes each time, and it will soon effect a cure.

These formulas come from a notebook I found years ago in an old house. It contains the potions and recipes used to manufacture household products and some of the patent medicines of the 1860's, including a cure for cancer.
